Can always count on the quality of Mobil 1 for high-stress lubricants. Differentials really abuse their fluid. If you only use a quality synthetic in one spot of your car – it should be the differential.

I just put this in the differential of a 23yr old motorcycle. It’s the superior choice, and I’ll probably never have to add it again. I’ve always had great results using Mobile 1 synthetic products.

I put Mobil 1 75W-140 Synthetic Gear Lube in my Honda SXS front and rear ends. Using factory OEM gear lube gear lube the drive gears were noisy. When it came time for scheduled lube change I went with Mobil 1. Glad I did as less noise and it feels like somewhat less vibration.

“LS” oil is NOT a problem for standard differentials! As of 6/27/17, the image for this product shows a bottle which does NOT contain the friction modifier for Limited Slip Differentials (LSD). I ordered this expecting to get oil which did NOT have the friction modifier required for LSDs. But, the bottle I received had “LS” on the front label, indicating it contained the friction modifier. I thought I had received the wrong product. Then, I read the back of the bottle and discovered that, not only is the LS version of this product acceptable for standard (non LS) differentials, it is a BETTER product for standard differentials (it reduces friction, causing cooler operating temps). By the way, the part number used by Mobil (102490) is the same for both the non LS version and the LS version of this product. I assume Mobil (and others) are now adding a friction modifier to all of their premium gear oils while keeping the same part number as the version which did not have the friction modifier.

Got this from amazon, It came in original box and wrapped in plastic, the plastic was stretched and was a little dirty from a garage. I put some on my truck two months ago and they’re without a doubt the best product I’ve installed. My f150 got these and I honestly wouldn’t buy anything else. Please keep in mind I’m aware there’s better products available at much higher prices but I’m not a race driver on a closed course, neither is half the folks who run them but that’s their money, but for my money I refuse to buy cheap off name brand junk, and draw the line at really high priced stuff that earned their reputation from spending money advertising rather than research, I usually go with mid priced stuff such as these and I found a real gem with these, I’d definitely recommend this to someone!

Good reputation and nice product. I have had to be in my differentials for different reasons and impressed by how clean the oil remains. The oil remains clear and clean with no burnt smell. Lastly, the bottle design allows east filling even in difficult positions. Would buy again with confidence.
