I bought this device as a cheaper was to turn my existing TV to a Smart TV on the cheap.This device is 1/3 the price of a decent 32″ smart TV (the reason why I bought the device).Set up is easy and software is really easy to use and you can customize your favorites to make it easier to use if you have elders who are going to use them. (my mum and grandmother are the primary users for this device – based on their opinions, It is easy to use and the remote control is easy to use and very clear) comparing to google chromecast remote controller which was the other option I considered while purchasing this device.After setting up the device and connected it to the WiFi, it was slow and lags frequently until the device downloaded all the required updates and security updates during the first couple of days then the performance enhanced noticeably (I do recommend to keep the device connected to the internet and working for a couple of days while restarting the device from time to time to make sure that all updates are downloaded).The only downside is the ram size (1 GB comparing to 1.5 GB for google chromecast HD), which can cause some lagging sometimes.The device is small (Barely you will see it as it will be hanging at the back of your TV), Remote is smaller that average remote controllers sizes (TVs and Receivers) but still more of easy design and light weight.At the time of purchase the google chromecast was 400 LE more expensive with it provides better performance ( 1.5 GB instead of 1 GB for the Xiaomi), newer interface (Google TV instead of Android TV for the Xiaomi), cool design and colors for the Remote and the device (Xiaomi is only available in black).I chose the solely based on the interface and the remote controller design because it was used by my mother and grandmother and they couldn’t be happier, it is easy to use and it took them only a couple of days to be able to navigate through their favorite content with minimum assistance.

Yes, it works! All the applications, online cinema, Netflix and ALL the others. IP TV, some games, internet radio, DLNA – works fine, but.. The interface is slow. And sometimes, maybe, one time per week, it goes rebooting suddenly.
