Within the 12k budget the printer copier + scan , competes well with cohorts.Pros:decent printing quality.scanning & copying added facility in the same price.good per page print ratio with one ink fill.easy accessible short cut buttonscomes with dual page printing (but only manual software supported, not automatic)compact size & portable.Cons:Colour prints are slightly below expectations.Brother software is complicated to handle.Dual page printing is manual clicked though comes with this 420W. Would be super if it was automatic.Overall, worth buying if one is looking for efficient quick 3 in 1 task printer. For, small & medium tasks only.

Print Quality, is very good, Paper Tray feature best

I am writing this review after a week of usage. Let me go section by section and this review might be long.Product Delivery: As usual Amazon is great. I will be surprised and shocked only if there is a delay or faulty product delivery by Amazon. So 5 stars for delivery.Let me call out Pros first and cons next.Pros:Printer Quality: Lookwise it is sturdy and can withstand accidental shocks.Ink filling is easy . Just open the cap and fill the ink .Wifi connectivity: Detects and connects with wifi easily.Paper printing claim by the company is something very attractive and hooked me into this model. It is 6500 pages in black and 5000 pages in color. I am yet to check this. If this claim by the company is true then this printer is worth every penny. My previous HP printer prints hardly 100 pages per ink bottle which would cost me around 1000 rupees to refill.It can print ,copy, and scan which is enough to meet my requirements. There is no need to go to shop for these activities anymore.Cons:Let me call out the disadvantages- ‘rather my disappointment’- of buying this printer:The printing speed is very slow even for black and white printing compared to my previous HP printer. However I can manage with that, considering that the printer would largely be used only for my children’s school project .Printer set up: You need to be a Tech Savvy or better avail free installation from ‘Brother’ . It is not user friendly. I took me more than 30 minutes to understand the printer configuration and complete the set up.Definitely not user-friendly.No Duplex printing: This is a real shocker. This printer doesn’t support automatic double side printing. Yes. You read it right! It DOES NOT SUPPORT AUTOMATIC DOUBLE SIDE PRINTING!! To print on both sides, I have to either print manually each page paper by paper or print odd number of pages first and print even number of pages next at the back. This is frustrating and annoying. I assumed that a printer which can scan ,copy ,print and support wifi connectivity would have this feature as a basic set up. I was wrong. I got really disappointed.No ‘print-from-anywhere’ feature: This feature was available in my previous HP printer where i could print literally from anywhere by emailing the content to my printer’s assigned email I’d. The claim by ‘Brother’ is about wifi printing provided both printer and the other device are in the same wifi network. So you can print only if you are at home and not from anywhere.My final verdict:If you print frequently and are looking for a printer which prints more number of pages for less ink, then this printer is good and value for money. It has the basic functions of print, copy and scan.If you are a person like me who has used and lived with fast printing, automatic double side printing, and anywhere printing, then give a second thought because there is a high probability of you getting disappointed . Better do a search again for better product before settling with this.

Frankly, I had read such positive reviews of the product and purchased it because of these reviews. I think these reviews are fake – at least some of them. My experience is different. I want to switch on to maybe Epson or HP or Canon – the popular brands. I don’t like the print quality of this printer. Its not very bright even at it’s utmost setting. It appears faded. Also, it takes AGES to print one sheet. Ages as in – so long – like 1 min or even more…for a sheet of coloured printer. And in the process of this long Time it takes to print – many a times paper too gets jammed. I have an Epson L385 in office and it’s much much faster. But Brother one takes so long that I have actually stopped printing coloured sheets and when in hurry – I print black and white. I bought this printer for my daughter for her projects but it’s too time consuming to print from it. Plus quality is not that good either. Also, there are issues with it. Recent one being – it is not giving out coloured print outs. Only black and white is coming. I logged a complaint and today hopefully someone should come and see it. Also, their customer service centre is always busy. It takes at least 10 min to call them and you are in queue most of the time on call. Anyways, the only good part is that it is compatible with Mac and I phone’s Air print – but hey – so are others – what is the big deal. That was just my experience. I would suggest go for Epson or HP.
