This was what I was expecting from philips. This sounds as if some senior old philips engineering team developed this, that means the sound quality is just superb. This is by far the best sounding product from philips in India today.Design and functions: Just classic professional looks with solid wood cabinet. But I think for its powerful sound it needs more high density material construction to reduce vibrations.In functionality it has FM, two inputs Aux and CD(not cd drive), USB, SD CARD SLOT and Bluetooth. This time they have solved all major problems of old philips 2.1 speakers. Now it remembers volume and also lowest volume of fm is now bearable. You can control BASS(no treble) , VOLUME, SOURCE, FM TUNNING, Equalizer, next and prev manually from remote and also from buttons on the speaker. Also there is preset equalizer for USB, FM and SD card only. For USB input it can go very loud.SOUND: QUALITY BALANCED SOUND. But sound is on the brighter side with great clarity ( mids and highs) with powerful mid bass. But you easily control BASS to make it superbly balanced.BASS/ LOWS: It is powerful with impactful mid bass. Sub bass is lacking, but you will get in high volume. But it can easily get bass till 40hz…( it has 5 inch wooffer built in)MIDS: Great clarity and full. But little on sharper side. Better than almost 2.1 speakers out there.( due to two 4 inch left and right drivers ).Treable/ Highs: Super sparking highs. But it does not extends higher like silk dome twitters. But really satisfactory.Overall it has a quality sound with satisfactory BASS. So it is not for people who want insane deep base or loud bass .CONS : At higher volume(higher BASS) the whole sound distorts and also the whole speaker body vibrates. BUT for low to moderate volume this speaker is just awesome with great mix of quality and enjoyment sound. Also stereo effect is less due to LEFT AND RIGHT speakers are builtin. NO manual TREBLE control.Also price would have been within 6k.

Here is my review of the speaker -2. SIZE: This speaker set is not as small as advertised & shown in the picture. It is quite large & big in size. It has a good height and its width is nearly 3 times its height. It is heavy too. So it is not the portable speaker you may be looking for. Even if you carry it from one room to another you will not be able to fing a proper place to keep it because of its huge size. I have attached pictures of the speaker set. Please have a look & dont underestimate the size.3. SOUND: It’s sound is loud with higher treble by default. Due to more treble, it sounds a bit harsh to listening ears. And there is no way you can lessen the treble – because phillips has not provided a treble control!! It is surprising that a speaker set which costs around 9000 rupees has only a bass control but no treble control. The harshness of the sound is particularly noticeable in FM. The FM reception is also average and you get a bit of hissing sound in some FM stations. This has killed my joy of listening to FM stations.A bass control has been provided and you can increase or decrease the bass. But the sound of the bass is only loud and it adds to the overall volume but it is not well defined. The bass is muddy & it does not have a pleasing quality to the ears.So overall the sound is only loud and it has a bit of harshness to it due to excessive treble. So if you love only loud sound with loud bass with lots of treble thrown in then you can go ahead & buy this set. But if you love pure melodious & balanced sound that is pleasing to the ears then this set is NOT for you. I am of the latter type & I have spend 9K on this set & I was dissatisfied with the sound quality & I am repenting now.3. This set is NON-RETURNABLE. Once you buy this, you cant return & get your money back! So be very sure before you spend close to 9K rupees on this set.

product is good, no issues found till datesound quality differs from source to sourcefm reception is quite stronggood thumping sound in this rangeonly concern is product is not listed in philips official website and where to contact in case remote stops working. i don’t think remote would be available via philipsrest all is goodproduct is quite big in size and performs very well

Better than average. Treble level is high cant be adjusted whereas bass is average overall can be adjusted. Size is big for Bluetooth speaker. But worth buying.
